Irish Cream

Irish Cream

Irish cream is the best addition to coffee on cold mornings. I love it and have tried basically all of them. My husband worked in the liquor industry for close to a decade. I worked with him pouring for a lot of his suppliers which meant I had the chance to try a lot of different Irish creams. I also got to have some great Irish coffees from some awesome mixologists. I wanted to start making my own that was from fresh ingredients and also more pocket friendly. This one turned out amazing! I brought it with me for my family to taste test on a trip and they 100% approved! I was asked to bring it to every brunch and trip from now on!

Irish Cream

  • Servings: 30 ounces
  • Print

Ingredients

  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup Jameson Irish Whiskey
  • 1 14 ounce sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp instant coffee
  • 1 tsp cacao powder (or cocoa whichever you prefer)

Instructions

  1. Pour around a tbsp of heavy cream into the bottom of the bowl and pour in the instant coffee and cacao powder. Whisk until combined. It is ok if it doesn’t fully combine, it won’t change the flavor.
  2. Pour in the rest of the ingredients and whisk to combine.
  3. Pour into a container and place in fridge for 2 weeks, if you don’t drink it all first!

Add 1 ounce or so of this into your coffee and enjoy! You can also drink it on it’s own or make mixed drinks with it! Yummy!
